Federal grants would fund child care for police families

What does this do?

This bill would create a federal grant program managed by the Department of Health and Human Services. Money would flow to state, territorial, and tribal child care agencies, which would pass it along to law enforcement agencies to set up child care programs. Those programs would be designed around the irregular hours common in police work, such as overnight shifts and weekends.
