EPA grant program would send $1B to states for wastewater upgrades

What does this do?

HR 8027 establishes a federal grant program administered by the EPA to fund advanced wastewater treatment system upgrades in every state. Congress would authorize up to one billion dollars between 2026 and 2030. At least 49 percent of total funding must go to projects serving disadvantaged communities, small towns, rural areas, or tribal treatment facilities.
